My name is Evangelist Tamara Dumas. I am the president and founder of Babes in Christ Corp youth ministry. I graduated from Miller-Motte College in Wilmington, N.C. with a dual license for Cosmetology and Esthetics. As a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician, I raised my five children and many others. Eventually, I realized that my true gift from God was caring for His children. In 2019, my children and I relocated to Cartersville, GA following a a devastating hurricane. It was here in Cartersville, that I went to the Georgia Secretary of State and certified the ministry that the Lord had put in my spirit many years ago: Babes in Christ Corp.
My passion for this ministry evolved from my childhood experiences. Like the story of many youth today, we did not have extra money for fun camps and programs that would keep us busy and out of trouble. With my childhood in mind, Babes in Christ Corp was designed to meet the spiritual and social needs of children ages 6 to 14 years old. I teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ and reward them with incentives that are 100% free. They have traveled the world based on the holy scriptures.
Jesus said, “Be holy, for I am holy.” and although none of us are perfect, like Paul, I continue to press toward the mark because I desire to please the Lord in all my ways. And as a living sacrifice, I invite God's precious children to come and grow in Jesus with me through fellowship, fun, food, and of course the holy scriptures.

Our Children
There are currently 14 children enrolled in the program. They are between the ages of 6 to 14 years old. Three teenagers have exceeded the age limit, but are still very active in the ministry. Having former members of Babes in Christ become volunteers helps to sustain the program.
The children who join are eager for a breath of fresh air. When home becomes a bit too much, Babes in Christ is their place of refuge. Therefore, they are anxious to get here, but hesitant to leave. Most of the time, they don’t want to go home.
